Expect a Brand New Call of Duty Game and More Remasters from Activision

The more time passes, more things change!
There will be a new Call of Duty game this year! Oh, wait! That's not even a piece of breaking news anymore. Is it? Activision's COO Cody Johnson confirmed this during the Q4 2019 financial results call a few days back. He even went ahead to tease the community by saying that playtests have already "generated excitement".
However, we don't know who is developing the game. Pretty sure it's not Infinity Ward because they shipped the Modern Warfare reboot late last year which Activision claims sold dramatically. Apparently the reboot did better than the previous version, Black Ops 4. However, the company is not expecting this year's release to be a massive bang and they will not tell us why.
Here's the thing. First, they will not tell us who is developing it. Second, they will not tell us why they think that this year's CoD will not be up to the mark. Are they working with a rookie studio? We will get to know soon.
During the same event, the CEO of Activision Bobby Kotick indicated that more remasters are coming soon after the success of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. But apparently they will not be pure remakes. The announcement said, "Stay tuned for some future announcements, but beyond pure remasters there are a lot of opportunities now to innovate and think about totally new content within these IPs." Well, maybe a Pitfall remake? in the mould of Uncharted? I think we're all desperate enough for a remade cinematic Pitfall game aren't we?
Also, it was not all sunshine and rainbows, During the same event Blizzard president, J. Allen Brack acknowledged that Warcraft 3: Reforged didn't have the smoothest launch it could have.
