Fortnitemares, the upcoming Fortnite Halloween event for 2024, will start on Friday, 11th October, according to an announcement made by Epic Games. Since Tuesday is when new Fortnite patches are often released, leakers had previously claimed that the new Fortnitemares update will be out on October 15. However, Epic has now confirmed that the event will begin four days sooner than fans had previously thought.

Fans eagerly await the return of Fortnite's wildly famous Halloween event every year, and 2024 won't be any different. The annual Halloween updates for the well-liked Battle Royale game have proven to be a huge success since they launched the inaugural Fortnitemares event in 2017. These updates include a ton of eerie new Fortnite skins, items, missions, and more. Although Epic has not officially disclosed the event's duration, fans can probably anticipate two to three weeks of Halloween-themed content, including partnerships with Saw and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, among many other things.

Previous rumors were that Fortnitemares 2024 will start on 15th October, however Epic Games has now declared that the new update would launch on Friday, 11th October, on its official social media pages. Alongside the date, a brief cinematic teaser demonstrating some of the new cosmetics available in Fortnite with the update was released. Though there aren't many details yet, fans can probably anticipate some new and unvaulted weaponry from past Fortnitemares events, as well as maybe some exclusive missions for players to finish.

Release Date For Fortnitemares 2024 Confirmed By Epic Games

Epic has officially announced that Fortnitemares 2024 will feature new Fortnite skins, including Billy the Puppet—currently playable through the in-game item store—Mephisto, Leatherface, and the original Fortnite skin, Lexa Hexbringer. Fans will have to shell out 2,500 V-Bucks for the full bundle in order to obtain the new Billy the Puppet skin, or 1,500 V-Bucks for the skin alone.

Following the announcement of additional information regarding the significant partnership earlier this week, there has also been conjecture that Fortnite may release some Disney villain skins with Fortnitemares 2024. Though it was recently confirmed that several Disney villains, including Captain Hook, Maleficent, and Cruella de Vil, would be the next Disney skins to arrive in Fortnite, there is conjecture that these skins will be unveiled during the Fortnitemares 2024 event. Regardless, the two companies are currently collaborating to create a massive Fortnite experience unlike anything else.
