The Wild Area event, which is scheduled to begin on 23rd November, will mark the global introduction of a brand-new Poke Ball type in Pokemon GO: the Safari Ball. Although only three of the previous six varieties of balls in Pokemon GO are widely accessible, this is the seventh type of ball to be added to the mobile augmented reality game.

The Pokemon GO Wild Area event is scheduled to launch regionally in Fukuoka, Japan on November 16–17, with a global debut scheduled for November 23–24. Although players have known the dates of Wild Area since late August, developer Niantic hasn't given much away about what will be available to them during the two-day event.

A tweet on the official Twitter page of the game on 3rd October revealed the impending release of the Safari Balls. The social media team is only posting a circle silhouette next to the event's emblem, seemingly giving away very little about them, including how they will appear in the mobile game. However, they most likely won't change from the green forest camouflage style seen in past Pokemon games' Safari Zones. Additionally, it's unclear if players will be able to collect these balls after the special event concludes or if they will just be available during it.

It's interesting that Niantic decided to issue Safari Balls during the next event rather than the specific Pokemon GO Safari Zone and City Safari events. When Safari Zone events were first introduced in 2017, players who bought digital event tickets in a few global locations had the opportunity to catch Pokemon that were unique to that region and wouldn't typically spawn there. Since the debut event, 23 such events have taken place in Germany, France, and Spain; the most recent Pokemon GO Safari Zone events took place in South Korea and Indonesia in September.

It's not funny to hear that Pokemon GO has added a new kind of ball. The Poke Ball, Great Ball, and Ultra Ball are the only balls that are easily obtained; these can be obtained by spinning Poke Stops or as rewards for reaching higher levels. Beast Balls are similar in that they are used to try and catch Ultra Beasts, however Premier Balls are only used following raid or Team GO Rocket engagements. The most recent ball type added to Pokemon GO is the Master Ball. Although it is guaranteed to catch anything thrown at it, players have only had three chances to obtain one.
