The DRM-free PC version of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis will launch on 25th September, according to a recent announcement from GOG. For those who have always loved the series, Resident Evil 3's arrival on the well-known PC gaming store means that for the first time, the entire original Resident Evil trilogy will be accessible on the platform.

Even though Resident Evil 3: Nemesis wasn't intended to be a full sequel when it was first published in 1999, fans of the series' earlier games frequently list it as one of their favorites. Resident Evil 3 included Jill Valentine, the main character from the original game, and she was taken on an adventure that took place throughout a large area of Raccoon City instead of being restricted to the cramped confines of the Spencer Mansion. The game's narrative centered on Nemesis, a new antagonist who chased Jill and attacked her at key points in the narrative, to further distinguish the experience from earlier entries.

As of right now, GOG has disclosed that Resident Evil 3: Nemesis' PC port will launch on the platform on 25th September at 8:00 AM UTC. The game's DRM-free edition will have complete controller support, compatibility with contemporary platforms, and a number of quality-of-life enhancements, as the business has already stated. The graphics for the title, however, are probably not going to alter because this isn't a remaster.

Though GOG hasn't yet revealed all of the details on the port's improvements, it is feasible to make assumptions about them. Improved save game managers, more rending options, audio level adjustments, bug fixes, and more could be included in these quality-of-life enhancements, if the release of Resident Evil 1 and 2 on GOG earlier this year is any clue. It's also feasible that certain exclusive game modes will be available from the outset.

Fans still have great memories of Resident Evil 3, even though it was published more than 20 years ago. Although the 2020 Resident Evil 3 remake was a very divisive title when it was released, Jill and Nemesis are now two of the game's most beloved characters.

The fact that more mods are being added to the original Resident Evil 3 is another indication of the game's success. Players might take on the role of Nemesis in Resident Evil 3 with a mod that was made available last year. Two game modes were included with the mod: a more sandbox mode and one where the antagonist would take the role of the main character but everything else would stay the same.
