Already, Juno is establishing herself as a powerful hero in the meta of Overwatch 2. Hero balancing in Overwatch 2 is problematic; heroes frequently end up too broken or never truly find their place in the game. However, Juno, despite being weaker than she was during her trial period, appears to have settled into the Support lineup with ease.

Juno, Overwatch 2's 41st hero, joined the game on 20th August with the start of Season 12. Known previously as Space Ranger, Juno's debut was much anticipated by players, who waited months for her to become playable. However, first impressions during her test period were divisive, with part of the community considering her overpowered. But even after the latest updates made her a bit less strong, the support finds herself in an unexpected position in Blizzard's game.

Right now, Juno is the most played hero in Overwatch 2. Overbuff reports that Juno has amassed noteworthy stats in September, with a pick rate of 8.79% and a victory percentage of 53.12% among PC Competitive players in the Platinum division, where a sizable amount of players are. Juno continues to dominate the charts in the majority of rankings, surpassing well-known players like D.Va and Tracer as well as beloved supporting players like Kiriko and Mercy. Bronze and Grandmaster are the only two exceptions, where Juno is ranked second behind Ana.

With a victory percentage of 54.45% and a pick rate of 8.21%, Juno, who is currently ranked eighth among Overwatch 2 console players at Platinum, continues to sustain her recent rise in popularity. Once more, D.Va, Mercy, and other names like Moira and Sombra are left in the dust as Juno maintains her position at the number one spot, surpassing Gold and Master. The only two that stand out are Grand Master, where D.Va is now the most popular choice, and Bronze and Silver, where Moira is the most played hero and Juno is in third place.

When Juno was added to Overwatch 2, her quality of life was improved, however one of the changes was that her health was decreased from 250 to 225. The 23rd August update gave the support a little extra love, buffing Mediblaster's damage from 7 to 8, and reducing the cooldown of Glide Boost from 8 to 6 seconds. Further adjustments for the Martian were included in the Overwatch 2 patch that was made available on 3rd September. This patch changed the Mediblaster's fire rate from 15.5 to 15.5 while lowering damage to 7.5 and healing to 6.5. Juno has unexpectedly become more popular despite all the changes; it will be intriguing to see if she can maintain this momentum through Season 12 and beyond.
