In June 2024, Go-Go Town, a split-screen cooperative game reminiscent to Stardew Valley, was made available on Steam Early Access. Go-Go Town received favorable feedback from several genre enthusiasts on its preview version. In less than three months, the game received almost 1,100 "Very Positive" Steam reviews. Hundreds of players have commended its quirky tone and variety of gameplay, enjoying, among other silly things, the chance to high-five chickens, make friends with aliens using bagels, and go on a road trip.

On 15th September, Go-Go Town Will Get Its First Significant Update.

With the release of Build and Bustle, Go-Go Town's first major update announcement is coming on Sunday, 15th September, at 7pm PT / 10pm ET, the management gameplay cycle will soon get much better. As the name suggests, the Build and Bustle update will bring a number of new features designed to make town expansion more dynamic. Consequently, Stanley S. Trollson, a "suspicious NPC" who will lurk around the edges of these sealed zones, will soon be able to be located by players using the EGO currency to buy additional land parcels that are ready to be added to their expansive settlement.

The next update for Go-Go Town will also feature industry zone customization, which will broaden the game's city construction principles. As a result, players will have the ability to modify the dimensions of their mining, forestry, fishing, and agricultural zones, all of which will function separately. It will be possible to make more than one zone of the same kind for those looking to increase their productivity. Along with handy parking lots and auto racks for storing and retrieving rides, the Build and Bustle update will also bring a four-line subway system for quick transport.

The forthcoming update will also include new town decoration options, such as road bridges, checkerboard terraforming tiles, boom gates, and garden décor in the style of Rome. In conclusion, the first significant update for Go-Go Town is expected to offer more player personalization features to the game, such as hats, spectacles, and haircuts.

Although Prideful Sloth, the game's developer, has only made Go-Go Town available on the PC, it has already stated that it plans to release the game on the Nintendo Switch, the most recent generation of PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and other platforms. According to the Australian company's current strategy, the console versions will be prepared for the 1.0 release, which is currently scheduled to take place in 2025's second quarter.
