In response to player complaints over special backgrounds not showing up for distant raids during Pokemon GO Fest 2024, Niantic has now acknowledged the issue and promised to compensate affected parties. Since Niantic is still actively looking into the matter, it has not yet disclosed what Pokemon GO gamers would receive in exchange. More information will be provided in the coming days.

Niantic has had a difficult few weeks due to the developer taking a lot of criticism from the community. The most current of these is the modified Terms of Service, which prohibits users of Pokemon GO from joining a class action lawsuit against Niantic. For those who participated in remote raids at Pokemon GO Fest, there is some positive news amidst all of that.

Niantic has officially responded to one of the main concerns players had about Pokemon GO Fest 2024: Global in a recent tweet. It seems that in Pokemon GO, users were not getting unique backgrounds for Pokemon that were discovered with remote raid passes. It should be mentioned that the problem only occurred on the first day of Pokemon GO Fest 2024: Global; everything appeared to go according to plan on the second day. As of right now, Niantic has stated that it is looking into the matter and would shortly release a "make good." Although the exact amount of this payment is unknown, supporters have already prepared a wish list.

Fans are expecting for a rematch of the Pokemon GO Necrozma raid since, despite the fact that this affected all distant raids, they were unable to obtain a memorable Pokemon for themselves. But some gamers have emphasised that it might possibly turn out to be something far less satisfying. The likelihood exists that Niantic may choose to compensate by just giving away remote raid passes, something that many fans are not at all excited about.

In Pokemon GO, special backgrounds are a new mechanic that made its debut during the Inbound from Ultra Space Event and GO Fest 2024. These unique backgrounds were given to players at random, which meant that the Pokemon gained a new characteristic to set them apart. Many gamers were uncertain as to whether they were simply unlucky or if the functionality was broken because it was not guaranteed that they would receive a unique background after catching a Pokemon. Nonetheless, there were certain questions raised by the differences in the unique backgrounds that local and remote players got. Many people who missed their chance to obtain a rare Pokemon may have another chance now that Niantic has acknowledged the problem.
