As of today, 11th July, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play Tchia and Neon White as part of their membership. Although these two games have been available for a while on other platforms, their Xbox versions are brand-new, therefore they may be considered Xbox Game Pass releases from day one.

Since the beginning of the month, Microsoft's membership service has been releasing new games somewhat consistently. As of the first third of July 2024, four titles have been added, in increments of two. Its most recent two titles, Cricket 24 and The Case of the Golden Idol, were added to Xbox Game Pass on 9th July; that was before today.

Neon White and Tchia are the next to follow suit; Microsoft subscribers can already play the latter. As of 4 a.m. ET on 11th July, Neon White was still not available on Xbox Game Pass, although it should be available in its content library by the end of the day. Regarding the game that is currently playable, Tchia was formerly unique to the PlayStation system and was released in March 2023. It was subsequently released on the Switch in June 2024. The game itself is a vibrant open-world action adventure with a strong emphasis on delivering captivating exploration and a lot of tropical vibes inspired by the French province of New Caledonia. It is the second project from Canadian company Awaceb.

Trophy seekers may also find Tchia to be a somewhat alluring option because, based on HowLongToBeat data, it offers 21 achievements totaling 1,000 Gamerscore points, which can be completed in about 20 hours. The PC and PlayStation versions have a 68% reviewer recommended rate and an OpenCritic average score of 78. Because of its highly stylized graphics and glider-focused gameplay, the game has received "Very Positive" ratings on Steam, with some players characterising it as a more laid-back version of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Neon White, on the other hand, is a fast-paced first-person shooter with a strong platforming component that targets speedrunners in particular, as evidenced by its special trick of allowing players to momentarily use incredibly quick parkour techniques by sacrificing weapons. Neon White, a game from independent development collective Angel Matrix, has a 99% reviewer recommendation rate and an 89 aggregate score on OpenCritic when it first launched, making it one of the best-rated titles of 2022.

It has already been revealed that five more games, all of which will be day-one releases, will be added to Xbox Game Pass before the end of July 2024. The first of those will be added to Microsoft's subscription service on 16th July together with Magical Delicacy.
