In a surprising turn of events at the Copenhagen Major American RMR, Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) coach Matt “Warden” Dickens found himself in the center of a controversy. Following his team’s disappointing defeat, Warden made headlines for the wrong reasons.

Warden, known for coaching Wildcard Gaming, faced backlash after allegedly splashing water at M80 players from a water bottle. The incident occurred after Wildcard's 1-2 defeat, which led to their elimination from the tournament. Reports indicate that Warden intentionally avoided shaking hands with the M80 team, opting instead to splash water on them, prompting accusations of unsportsmanlike behavior.

Upon receiving reports of the incident, PGL officials swiftly took action, conducting a brief investigation and subsequently banning Warden from the RMR venue for his actions. Despite the ban, Warden issued a public apology to M80 and Mario “malbsMd” Samayoa, expressing regret over his behavior and attributing it to his emotions running high in the aftermath of the match.

As Wildcard faces the aftermath of their elimination, the team is left without their coach for the remainder of the event. While the venue and practice facilities remain available to them, Warden’s absence poses a significant challenge as they navigate through the tournament without his guidance.

Meanwhile, the tournament continues with M80 gearing up for a crucial showdown against Legacy, led by Marcelo “coldzera” David. With Legacy on the brink of securing a spot at the Copenhagen Major, anticipation runs high as they prepare to face off against their opponents.
