Reports suggest that veteran mid laner Perkz will be benched, making room for the debut of Zwyroo, a promising newcomer to the European League of Legends Championship.

After a lackluster performance in the previous split, where Heretics struggled to secure a favorable position in the standings, the organization seems determined to revamp its lineup. Perkz, who joined the team for just one split, faced criticism for underwhelming results, culminating in a disappointing seventh-place finish in the LEC.

Zwyroo, despite being relatively new to the LEC stage, brings a wealth of experience from his tenure in professional League of Legends. Although he has yet to compete in the LEC, his presence marks a strategic shift for Heretics, as they opt for fresh talent over established veterans.

The decision to bench Perkz not only signifies a change in personnel but also marks the end of an era for Heretics. Perkz, formerly part of the renowned mid-jungle duo alongside Jankos during their time with G2 Esports, failed to replicate their past success in 2024.
