In a surprising twist, G2 Gozen, the all-female Valorant team, bids adieu to its player Anastasia "Glance" Anisimova. The departure, unveiled through G2's official social media channels, marks a significant shift in the team's dynamics. Glance, a Russian esports luminary, joined the squad in June 2022 and played a pivotal role in their triumphs, clinching victories in VCT 2022: Game Changers EMEA Series 1, 2, and the Championship, along with VCT 2023: Game Changers EMEA Stage 1, 2.

G2 Gozen Makes Roster Changes Ahead of VCT Game Changers 2024

Despite Glance's recent success at the VCT 2023: Game Changers Championship, where G2 Gozen secured a commendable third place, her journey with the team concludes. The decision to part ways with Glance comes amid other significant changes, as G2 Gozen reshapes its roster in anticipation of the VCT Game Changers 2024 Circuit.

Initiating their foray into Valorant in October 2021, G2 Gozen, under the leadership of former CS: GO professional Julia "Juliano" Kiran, achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first team to clinch championships in both Valorant and CS: GO. The crowning achievement was their triumphant 3-2 victory over Shopify Rebellion in the grand finals of the VCT Game Changers Championship in Berlin in November 2022.

Glance's tenure with G2 was marked by notable accomplishments, including lifting the Game Changers 2022 Championship: Berlin trophy. Despite a valiant effort in the upper final against Shopify Rebellion, G2 Gozen faced elimination after an unsuccessful rematch with Team Liquid. The departure of Glance follows the announcement of G2 Gozen coach Robertas "Carcass" Mikuckis seeking opportunities beyond G2, indicating a broader restructuring within the team.

As the esports landscape evolves, G2 Gozen remains at the forefront, navigating the dynamic world of Valorant with strategic roster adjustments and an unyielding commitment to excellence.
