BOOM Esports’ Journey in South American Dota 2

The now-concluded trial period began with the departure of the previous Dota 2 lineup on November 3, 2023, amid a restructuring phase triggered by the team's failure to qualify for ESL One Kuala Lumpur and a disappointing showing at the Pinnacle: 25 Year Anniversary Show.

The organization expressed gratitude for the dedication and efforts of the players during this period, formally ending their association with BOOM Esports. A tweet from the official account stated, "The trial period has concluded, and starting today, they are no longer part of BOOM Esports. "

BOOM Esports' experimental roster featured notable players:

  • Christian "Pakazs" Savina
  • Jordan "SLATEM$" Vega
  • Rafael "Sacred" Yonatan
  • Farith "Matthew" Puente
  • Romel "Mjz" Quinteros Rojas

The lineup, comprising talents from Evil Geniuses (EG), Thunder Awaken, and beastcoast, aimed to secure representation at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.

Debuting in the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023: South America Closed Qualifiers as one of the invited teams, the squad faced formidable challenges. Despite encountering setbacks, including a lower bracket stint against Mad Kings, they showcased resilience with a victory against BocaJuniors. Unfortunately, their journey concluded in the qualifiers after elimination by Keyd Stars.
