The tournament unfolds in a gripping format, ensuring every match is a test of skill and strategy. Teams will engage in the Group Stage, featuring two single round-robin groups, each comprised of six formidable contenders. With all series consisting of two intense games, the stakes are high. The first and second-placed teams secure coveted spots in the Playoffs Upper Bracket, while the third and fourth-placed teams descend to the Lower Bracket. As the dust settles, the remaining teams face elimination. 

The journey intensifies in the Playoffs, featuring a double-elimination bracket where every match is a Best of 3 (Bo3), culminating in a Grand Final showdown that pushes the limits with a Best of 5 (Bo5) format. 

The battlefield is ready, and the contenders are locked in. The list of participating teams boasts formidable names, including Gaimin Gladiators, LGD Gaming, and Azure Ray, all securing coveted invitations to the tournament. However, the roster underwent a shift as Team Spirit withdrew, citing health concerns for key players after The International 12. ESL swiftly responded, redirecting the available slot to the Western European Closed Qualifiers, heightening the anticipation for the upcoming clashes. 

For those seeking to join the ranks of gaming legends, the journey begins in the qualifiers. Mark your calendars for the Open Qualifiers on November 12-13 and November 14-15. The action reaches its peak in the Closed Qualifiers from November 16 to November 18, where the final contenders will emerge, earning the right to face the best in ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.
