Dota 2 veteran player Daryl "iceiceice" Koh has bid farewell to his Singapore-based team, Bleed Esports. Breaking the news during a candid moment on one of his recent Twitch streams, iceiceice's departure has left fans and the esports community startled with speculation about the organization and the team.

Iceiceice, a legend of the Dota 2 scene, traces his roots back to the very beginnings of the game. He first rose to prominence as a part of Scythe Gaming, where he made his mark in the inaugural The International (TI). Since then, his illustrious career has seen him don the jerseys of several prestigious organizations, including Team DK, EHOME, Mineski, Fnatic, Evil Geniuses, Team Secret, and Team SMG.

His journey with Bleed Esports began just earlier this year, in March 2023, when he joined as their offlaner, partnering with Djardel "DJ" Mampusti. Iceiceice's arrival was met with anticipation, and it didn't take long for the team to prove their mettle. In a short span, they clinched the top spot at the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 3: Division I.

However, the recent revelation by iceiceice has sent shockwaves across the Dota 2 community. In a recent livestream, he casually dropped the bombshell, expressing that he's no longer playing for Bleed Esports and suggesting that the team should create a new roster, alluding to forthcoming changes.

This abrupt exit comes hot on the heels of Bleed Esports' disappointing performance in the lead-up to The International 2023. Failing to secure qualification and finishing 5th-6th in the qualifiers, they were eliminated by Geek Fam.

The departure of a player of iceiceice's caliber is bound to have a profound impact on Bleed Esports. As the esports world eagerly awaits the official statement from the organization, questions loom large. Will there be roster changes, a rebuilding phase, or the recruitment of new talent? Bleed Esports now faces a pivotal moment as they strive to regain their competitive footing.
