Team Liquid, the prominent esports organization, is making headlines with rumors of a reunion with a former superstar, Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken. Twistzz, a legendary Counter-Strike player, seems poised to return to his former stomping grounds.

In the past, Twistzz played a pivotal role in helping Team Liquid achieve the prestigious IEM Grand Slam. This honor is reserved for teams that conquer four Major-tier ESL events within a ten-event timeframe. Team Liquid, with Twistzz as part of their North American core, established themselves as one of the most dominant rosters across all esports. However, in 2019, Twistzz parted ways with the team, embarking on a journey that led him to another IEM Grand Slam victory and a Major win, this time with the international FaZe Clan roster.

Twistzz's name stands tall in the annals of Counter-Strike history. He is among the elite group of just six North American players to secure a Major victory. Furthermore, his achievement of winning two IEM Grand Slams has solidified his position as one of the top ten all-time earners in Counter-Strike prize money, as per esportsearnings.com.

The rumored reunion with Twistzz signifies Team Liquid's move towards reestablishing a North American core. Earlier in 2023, the organization transitioned to a European-majority squad. This change, however, led to the roster's disintegration within just three months due to a series of underwhelming performances in the twilight of the CS:GO era.

Liquid's potential reunion with Twistzz is not the only rumor circulating in the esports sphere. They are also reportedly in negotiations with the former Heroic star AWPer and IGL, CadiaN. Additionally, the organization is exploring various high-profile signings, as indicated by the Dust.2.us report. During Liquid's absence from the North American region, Complexity emerged as a formidable force, often regarded as the best team in the region by fans and analysts.

Recent times have not been kind to Team Liquid. Their failure to qualify for IEM Sydney, a significant event in the CS:GO calendar, highlighted their struggles. At the BLAST Fall Showdown, they had their head coach, Damian "daps" Steele, step in as a stand-in player. Both in-game performance and overall team management have appeared lackluster.

Nevertheless, the prospect of bringing back Twistzz, the most decorated player in North American CS history, holds promise for Team Liquid. While there are still contracts to be signed, it appears that Liquid is poised to make some strategic and impactful roster moves.
