In a significant development within the competitive Valorant scene, former Evil Geniuses player BCJ is reportedly set to join the M80 Valorant team for the 2024 season. This transition marks a pivotal moment in BCJ's career as he moves from the tier-one esports organization Evil Geniuses to a tier-two team with M80 Valorant. This move comes in the wake of contractual issues and a reshuffling of the EG roster after their victory at VALORANT Champions 2023.

BCJ To Play VALORANT 2024 Season With M80

BCJ, a star initiator and a key player for Evil Geniuses at the start of 2023, has been making waves in the Valorant competitive scene since his debut with XSET in 2021. While with XSET, BCJ and his team faced formidable opponents such as Sentinels, 100 Thieves, and Cloud9, solidifying their presence in the North American Valorant scene.

One of the defining moments of BCJ's career with XSET was their impressive victory over OpTic Gaming at the Stage 2 Challengers in 2022, which secured their spot at VALORANT Champions. Their underdog journey at the event ended with a loss to the eventual champions, FunPlus Phoenix, in the lower bracket quarterfinals. BCJ, as the team's initiator, played a crucial role in gathering vital information for his team, and he even earned a reputation as one of the best initiators globally, a title he lived up to during the VALORANT Champions event.

BCJ's journey took an unexpected turn when he joined Evil Geniuses, becoming one of the most notable off-season pickups for the organization. While his individual performance was commendable, Evil Geniuses faced challenges in closing out games. However, BCJ's removal from the starting roster, and his replacement by a rookie player, Max "Demon1" Mazanov, led to a remarkable resurgence for the team. Under Demon1's leadership, EG secured second place at Masters Tokyo and clinched the VALORANT Champions 2023 title, making BCJ a world champion as a bench player.

Following reported contractual issues within Evil Geniuses after their championship win, BCJ became a free agent in October 2023. This transition provided BCJ with an opportunity to explore new horizons in the competitive Valorant scene. He has now reportedly found a new home with M80 Valorant, a team that demonstrated their potential by finishing second at Ascension in 2023, narrowly losing to The Guard.
