Influence Rage's victory was not the only highlight of the tournament. Intense Gaming also made waves with their exceptional performance and consistency, securing the second spot with 191 points and earning $19,000 in prize money. INCO Gaming followed closely in third place with 179 points, and their standout player, Squash, was crowned MVP for his outstanding individual contributions.
The defending champions, Alpha 7 Esports, had a strong start to the competition, ensuring their place in the top four with 170 points. Revoo, one of the standout players from Alpha 7 Esports, once again showcased his exceptional skills.
What sets this achievement apart is that all four of the top teams, Influence Rage, Intense Gaming, INCO Gaming, and Alpha 7 Esports, hail from Brazil, cementing the country's reputation as a powerhouse in PUBG Mobile esports. Their collective performance not only secured their spots in the PMGC 2023 but also sent a clear message to the global competition.
Loops Esports, N Hyper, and Team Queso had already secured seats in the PMGC 2023 by virtue of their impressive performances in their respective regions. However, they faced a challenging time in the PMPL Americas Championship, highlighting the need for continued improvement and consistency as they finished 5th, 14th, and 15th respectively in the tournament.
In total, 48 teams from various regions will converge in the League Stage of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2023, commencing on November 2. The stakes are high, with only the top 14 squads from the overall league standing advancing to the Grand Finals, where two teams have already received direct invitations.
