Global Esports has solidified its Valorant lineup by acquiring the formidable Indonesian player, Gary “blaZek1ng” Dastin. The announcement marks blaZek1ng as the fourth confirmed member of the team, setting high expectations for their upcoming season.

Global Esports VCT 2024 Roster

blaZek1ng's arrival at Global Esports signifies a pivotal moment in his career, transitioning from his previous stint with BOOM Esports, which took over the Boys With Love squad in mid-2020. With a track record spanning back to Valorant's First Strike tournament and an impressive performance in the 2022 APAC Last Chance Qualifier, blaZek1ng has emerged as one of Indonesia's most decorated Valorant players.

Notably, his tenure with BOOM Esports showcased his exceptional tactical acumen while maintaining an outstanding fragging capability. His strategic prowess played a pivotal role in the team's recent triumph at VCL Indonesia Split 2, propelling them to represent their region at VCT Ascension Pacific. However, their journey was cut short in Bangkok, where they secured a respectable 3rd-4th position following a reverse sweep defeat to Bleed Esports, the eventual champions.

This acquisition is not only a testament to blaZek1ng's individual prowess but also a strategic move by Global Esports to strengthen their lineup after a somewhat lackluster 2023 VCT season, which saw them finish eighth in the Pacific League and fail to secure a single map win in the Last Chance Qualifier.

One of the key changes for Global Esports is the leadership transition within the team. Russel “Russ” Mendes, formerly a player with Guild Esports, will take on the role of leader for the squad. Russ recently expressed his commitment to "give my absolute best to lead the team," signaling a shift in the team's dynamics.

As Global Esports gears up for the upcoming season, the team's roster boasts a diverse mix of talent from around the world. Alongside blaZek1ng, the lineup includes Benedict “Benkai” Tan, a former player from Paper Rex, Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury, and Russel “Russ” Mendes. Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar remains inactive, while Peter “Spin” Bradford serves as the Head Coach, supported by Morgan “BigTime” Jay as the Assistant Coach.
