LEC 2023 Season Finals: Fnatic vs G2 Esports Highlights

Here is a match-wise highlight of the LEC 2023 Season Finals match between Fnatic vs G2 Esports.

Game 1:

The first game of the series set the tone with extreme aggression from both sides. G2 Esports, led by their top laner Sergen "BrokenBlade" Çelik, managed to maintain an edge in the early game despite a formidable laning phase from Fnatic’s Martin “Wunder” Hansen. The teamwork between G2's jungle-mid-support trio, featuring Martin "Yike" Sundelin, Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle, and BrokenBlade, turned the tides in their favor. Their coordinated engagements secured them a crucial 1-0 lead in the series.

Game 2:

Game 2 showcased why G2 Esports is a formidable force in the League of Legends world. Fnatic drafted a well-rounded composition, but Broken Blade's Olaf and Mikyx's Lissandra were insurmountable obstacles. G2 held a staggering 9,000 gold lead at just 13 minutes into the game, solidifying their lead on the way to match point. Their relentless aggression and map control left Fnatic reeling.

Game 3:

Fnatic managed to claw their way back into the series in the third game. G2 Esports' star mid-laner Rasmus “Caps” Winther was a force to be reckoned with on Yone. However, Fnatic's team effort, spearheaded by Caps' counterpart, Marek "Humanoid" Brázda, on Syndra, was enough to counter Caps' prowess. This victory was a glimmer of hope for Fnatic as they secured their first win in the series.

Game 4:

As the stakes reached their pinnacle, Caps, determined to secure his 10th domestic title, stepped up. G2 Esports exploited Fnatic mid laner Marek "Humanoid" Brázda's shallow champion pool, forcing him onto Syndra. Caps took matters into his own hands, leading by example on the Dark Sovereign. He outshone G2's AD carry, Steven “Hans Sama” Liv, and finished with an impressive 10/0/7 scoreline against Humanoid’s Taliyah, securing G2's victory in the final game of the series.
