Scout Invitational: Tournament Format Unveiled

The Scout Invitational is set to be an open-for-all event, featuring both invited teams from the recently concluded Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2 and open qualifiers with over 2000 available slots. With such a massive playing field, the competition is bound to be fierce and unpredictable.

The tournament's format is designed to test the mettle of competing teams through a series of rigorous stages. It all begins with Round 1, where over 2000 teams will vie for supremacy. These teams will be divided into 128 groups, each consisting of 16 teams. Two matches featuring the maps of Erangel and Miramar will be played in this round, spanning ten days. The top eight teams from each group will secure a place in Round 2.

In Round 2, the stakes get even higher. Over 1000 teams will be divided into 64 groups, and each group will battle it out in three matches on the maps of Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok. The top four teams from each group will secure their place in Round 3.

Round 3 intensifies the competition further. Here, 256 teams will be divided into 16 groups, and they will engage in four matches each on the maps of Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, and Vikendi. The top four teams from each group will earn the right to advance to the next round.

Round 4, the penultimate stage, will feature 64 teams divided into four groups of 16 teams each. Like Round 3, these teams will compete in four matches each on the maps of Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, and Vikendi. Once again, the top four from each group will move forward.

Quarter Finals:

Quarter Finals, a pivotal stage, will comprise 32 teams: 16 from the open qualifiers and 16 from BGMS Season 2 Semifinals. In a round-robin format spanning four days, each team will participate in six matches per day. After the dust settles, the top 16 teams will advance to the semi-finals.

Semifinals:

Semifinals will feature the top 16 teams from the quarterfinals and an additional 16 teams from BGMS Season 2 Grand Finals. In another round-robin format, each team will engage in six matches per day over two days. The top 16 teams will emerge as the cream of the crop and move on to the Grand Finals.

Grand Finals:

The Grand Finals will witness the top 16 teams competing in four matches each day, spanning two days. The first day will showcase Erangel, Miramar, Erangel, and Sanhok maps in Third Person Perspective (TPP) mode, while the second day will feature Miramar, Erangel, Miramar, and Vikendi maps in First Person Perspective (FPP) mode.
