GodLike Esports’ professional Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) esports player Rudra "SPower" B recently shared his thoughts on his first-ever LAN event experience at the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2. SPower's insights shed light on how the transition from online gaming at home to a LAN event wasn't as daunting as it might seem.
Playing on LAN Did Not Affect SPower
In a recent vlog by GodLike Esports' content creator Varun "KikiOP" Vinod Chauhan, KikiOP asked SPower how playing BGMI on LAN differed from playing it at home. SPower nonchalantly stated, "It was my first LAN event. There wasn't much of a difference." His statement highlights his calm demeanor despite the change in the playing environment. SPower emphasized that the experience didn't deviate significantly from his accustomed home setup, even down to the chair he sat in.
SPower's pragmatic outlook resonated throughout his responses. He firmly expressed, "It was the same as home; even the chair was the same." Crucially, SPower added that the transition from home to LAN didn't affect his focus on achieving desired outcomes. "It doesn't bother me at all; I have to acquire finishes whether I am playing from home or LAN," he stated candidly. This mindset highlights his determination to succeed, irrespective of the venue.
In a distinctive take, SPower delved into the essence of his role in the game: "It is the same phone and the same person is playing." He reinforced that his skills remain consistent, whether he's competing on a LAN stage or from the comfort of his home setup. Even the prospect of a change in devices didn't sway his assurance, as he affirmed, "Even if the phone changes, the person playing will be the same."
