Professional Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) player Raj “Snax” Varma recently explained his absence from the BGMI Masters Series Season 2. Snax revealed the reasons behind his decision not to participate in the much-awaited LAN event. As his fans eagerly awaited his appearance in the tournament, Snax expressed his regrets and shed light on the thought process that led to his choice.
Snax Missed BGMS Season 2 Due to Ban Time Hiatus
In a recent livestream, Snax’s viewers asked him why he did not participate in the BGMI Masters Series Season 2. Responding to this, Snax stated, "I know you all miss me a lot in the LAN event, but I am really sorry that I am not there."
Clarifying his future plans, Snax confirmed his intention to play Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 but not BGMS Season 2. He explained that he had indeed received offers from two teams to play BGMS with them, but he declined these opportunities with a clear purpose in mind. The main reason for his absence from BGMS Season 2, as Snax revealed, was his extended break from the game. Unlike other players who continued honing their skills during the ban time, Snax had taken a year-long hiatus from the game. Consequently, his gameplay was not up to par with what his audience was accustomed to seeing from him.
Joining a team with such gameplay could have adversely affected the team's momentum, as Snax feared his performance might not meet the high expectations of his fans. "If I had joined their team with such gameplay, their momentum would have broken, and I would have not played well," he candidly confessed. Aware of the potential consequences, he made the difficult decision to prioritize rebuilding his gameplay and momentum.
Furthermore, Snax acknowledged that his audience's expectations were a significant factor in his decision-making process. He wanted to avoid disappointing his loyal fans who looked up to him as a skilled and accomplished player. "I myself knew my gameplay wasn't like what it used to be. And if I had played, my audience's expectations from me would have fallen," he explained.

Driven by a strong desire to regain his former prowess and maintain the trust of his supporters, Snax resolved to build his own team. By doing so, he believed he could focus on personal growth and performance before committing to an organization or team. This way, he aimed to regain the form that had earned him a dedicated fan base.
