Team SouL’s manager Siddhant “Sid” Joshi recently discussed the acquisition of players for the organization’s current Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) roster. Sid revealed that Entity Gaming's Hector was initially on loan for a year before Team SouL paid a substantial amount to secure his permanent transfer. Additionally, Sid explained that Team SouL followed the proper buy-out process to acquire Goblin from Team iNSANE. Although Sid didn't disclose the exact figures, he confirmed that the amounts involved were significant, reaching seven-figures. 

Sid Shares How Team SouL Acquired Its BGMI Players

In a recent livestream, Sid discussed how Team SouL acquired players for its current BGMI roster while replying to questions from his viewers. He revealed that Entity Gaming's Hector was on loan with Team SouL for a year. After the completion of the first year, Sid stated that Team SouL paid a hefty amount to acquire Hector. He stated that Omega and AkshaT's transfer was also done through their organization. Additionally, he stated that Team SouL followed the proper process of buy-out to acquire Goblin from Team iNSANE.

"The amount of money we have paid for these two players, to buy them out from their organizations - we don't make it public. We don't want such fame. I myself transferred the money to their organizations, so I know how much money they received for these two players," said Sid.

Sid added that Team SouL did not buy Neyo as he was a free agent. He added that Neyo’s previous contract was expired when the organization approached to sign him. 

A viewer asked him the exact amount Team SouL paid to buy Hector and Goblin. Responding to this, Sid stated that he can only say that it was "a big amount." However, he went on to say that the amount was in seven-figures. 

Sid clarified that Team SouL follows the industry standard and norm while approaching players for signing or organizations for buy-out.

While specific monetary figures were not disclosed, Sid's mention of seven-figures underscored the substantial nature of these transactions. In the Indian esports landscape, a seven-figure buy-out is a massive number. However, the players have proved their mettle and proved themselves valuable for the organization.
