Resolut1on to Replace Pure For Bali Major

The organizing body of the Bali Major, IO Esports, swiftly responded to Pure's violation by imposing the disqualification and nullifying BetBoom's previous victory against Tundra Esports. In light of this ruling, the team has been compelled to continue the tournament with a stand-in player, Roman "Resolut1on" Fomynok.

Initially, BetBoom Team took to Twitter to announce Resolut1on's participation as a replacement player, but the tweet was later deleted, leaving fans and spectators curious about the team's decision-making process. Subsequently, the team issued a statement on their Telegram handle, accepting Pure's mistake while expressing the belief that the punishment was excessively harsh. BetBoom has formally requested a fair and impartial resolution from Valve, the game's developer and the tournament's organizer, aiming to rectify the situation.

In their statement, BetBoom Team acknowledged Pure's error but emphasized that the incident had minimal impact on the overall match, occurring just nine minutes into the nearly two-hour game. While accepting responsibility for the rule violation, the team maintained that Pure had no malicious intent. They expressed their commitment to collaborating with Valve and the Bali Major organizers to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The disqualification has had a noticeable effect on the emotional state of the BetBoom Team players, particularly Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek, the team's position 5 player. During their subsequent series against Azure Ray, TORONTOTOKYO vented his frustration towards the opposing players, questioning their involvement in Pure's disqualification and expressing disappointment by stating, "sad, I respected you."
