True Rippers Defeats Godlike Esports to Qualify for VCL SA Split 2 Playoffs

In an intense showdown between True Rippers and  Godlike Esports in the Valorant Challengers League (VCL) 2023: South Asia (SA) Split 2, True Rippers emerged victorious, securing a spot for itself in the Playoffs. The match, filled with thrilling moments and remarkable plays, showcased True Rippers' resilience and determination as it battled its way to a well-deserved qualification.

VCL SA Split 2: True Rippers vs Godlike Esports Recap

In map veto and selection process, Godlike Esports opted to ban Split and True Rippers banned Ascent from the pool. Teams then picked Pearl and Lotus, while banning Bind and Fracture. Lastly, Haven was chosen as the decider map.

Map No. 1: Pearl

In the first half of Pearl, Godlike Esports started off by winning the pistol round, but its triumph was short-lived as True Rippers quickly turned the tide by securing the subsequent eco round. After winning rounds back and forth, the first half concluded with the equal score of 6-6. In the second half, the momentum shifted in True Rippers' favor. The team triumphed in the pistol round and won the subsequent anti-eco round. Although Godlike Esports put forth an incredible performance, True Rippers remained undeterred. True Rippers lost only two rounds in the second half, winning the match with a 13-6 score.

 Map No. 2: Lotus

In the first half  of Lotus, True Rippers won the pistol round, but could not secure the anti eco round. Both teams won rounds back and forth until 4-4. Following this, Godlike Esports fired all cylinders and won four consecutive rounds, concluding the first half with an 8-4 advantage. In the second half, True Rippers made a comeback and won the pistol round and the subsequent  anti eco round. Demonstrating its dominance, True Rippers dropped only one round on their attacking side, ultimately closing the map at 13-9.

With this impressive victory over Godlike Esports, True Rippers became the second team after Orangutan Gaming to secure a slot for itself in the VCL SA Playoffs. As they progress to the playoffs, True Rippers will undoubtedly seek to build upon this triumph and continue their quest for victory in the Valorant Championship League South Asia.
