Reckoning Esports Defeats MLT Esports To Eliminate It From VCL SA Split 2 Matchup

In a recent matchup in the Valorant Challengers League (VCL) 2023: South Asia (SA) Split 2, Reckoning Esports defeated MLT Esports with a 2-0 scoreline, eliminating the team from the championship. Furthermore, it marked Reckoning Esports' first victory in the VCL SA Split 2, after suffering a defeat against Orangutan Gaming in its previous match.

VCL SA Split 2: Reckoning Esports vs MLT Esports Recap

In the Map Veto, MLT Esports banned Lotus and Reckoning banned Split. The teams then picked Pearl and Ascent, respectively. Following this, the teams banned Pearl and Ascent, leaving Bind as the decider map in the series.

Map No. 1: Pearl

In the first half of Pearl, Reckoning Esports won the pistol round and won three following rounds consecutively, leading to a scoreline of 4-0. However, MLT Esports managed to make a comeback and equalized the score at 4-4. Reckoning Esports managed to close the first half with a scoreline of 7-5 in its favor. In the second half, MLT Esports won the pistol round but lost the following round. After trading rounds back and forth, Reckoning Esports managed to close the map at 13-8.

Map No. 2: Ascent

In the first half of Ascent, MLT won the pistol round and the following anti-eco round. Although Reckoning Esports won its full buy round, it lost the next two rounds, leading to a scoreline of 4-1 in MLT Esports' favor. However, Reckoning Esports made a comeback and secured five rounds in the first half, leading to a scoreline of MLT 7-5 RGE. In the second half, Reckoning Esports won the pistol round and the following five rounds. After trading rounds, Reckoning Esports secured the second map as well, with a 13-11 scoreline.

Reckoning Esports’ Saksham "Deadly10" Aurangabadkar was named the Match MVP for his outstanding performance, with an ACS of 302 and almost half a century of kills in the two maps played.
