Destiny 2 dataminers have uncovered a ton of brand-new items, most of which have never been seen before, that will be included in the game's landmark Lightfall Expansion. Prospective gamers have taken the time to pour into the game's files with their decryption tools since they were made available for preloading before the expansion's official debut, some of which have already paid off.

It seemed inevitable that Bungie would attempt to offer a whole slew of interesting new gear for players to obtain considering that players in Destiny 2 are facing the greatest threat the franchise has seen thus far. It seems that Lightfall may have more weapons than first anticipated, however, it was believed that much of it would remain concealed until the DLC was released.

The raid known as The Root of Nightmares from Destiny 2—which is thought to take place on a Light-infested pyramid ship—has previously been made public by Bungie. Dataminers swiftly upped the ante by finding what appears to be the complete set of raid gear drops, which includes tools like the sparrow and the ship as well as all the weapons and the three sets of armour unique to each class. Although the models themselves haven't yet been shown, the icons give a strong indication of the design language of the gear.

The Eververse sets for each of the three classes have already been discovered, and they may represent Bungie's version of the Among Us aesthetic in Destiny 2, which would be consistent with the studio's prior work on the game. Bungie urges its designers to adapt the design cues and aesthetics of the games for Destiny rather than just importing the models from those games, and Season 20's Eververse sets are probably just another illustration of that process in action.

Nonetheless, a lot of players will be more interested in the stolen weapons. With the release of the Lightfall Expansion, Destiny 2 promised to spice up Adept weapons, and the Root of Nightmares armour certainly looks aesthetically appealing. Although the abilities of these weapons are yet unknown, Adept weapons in particular seem to have developed vibrant crystalline structures that adhere to the raid's design aesthetic, indicating a blending of Light and Dark.
