On the creation of his newest first-person shooter game, Deadrop, Dr. Disrespect has provided some rather considerable information. If you haven't been following along, near the end of 2021, Dr. Disrespect established his own studio, Midnight Society, with a group of video game professionals. Former Call of Duty and Halo developers are working on a new first-person shooter that appears to be created with fans in mind.

Over the past year, the company has taken a pretty unorthodox approach to game development by letting players experience every new build of the game as it is finished. This enables the team to receive fundamental input and implement real changes.

Dr. Disrespect just shared some interesting changes, including visor cortex, gear, and other consumables, in a tweet that the gaming studio posted. Even if it is still in the development stage, Guy admits that the idea has advanced and is close to "expansion." The streamer additionally disclosed that they would later this year hold a testing session with viewers in Texas.

A few weeks or months prior to the game's release, many shooters hold alpha and beta tests, however it is frequently too late to make any significant modifications to the gameplay. These "snapshots," as Midnight Society has referred to them, had previously been released about every month, but the team will now be sharing these snapshots every three months to allow for further expansion.

Dr. Disrespect explained in the latest video that they would be adding an armour system with visors that can be customised as well as a new "sector" to what they refer to as "The Tower" in order to build on the foundation they created for Deadrop in year one. When it launches on March 17th, this new sector, Cold Storage, will feature the arrival of consumable healing goods, throwables like smoke grenades, six fully finished weapons with 13 attachments, and more.

In the end, it seems like Deadrop is going to be a fairly interesting project. Given all of the extremely unconventional techniques being used on this game, there were a lot of doubters in the first year. It will take time to see if it succeeds, but maybe the user feedback they are getting will help them make it into something valuable. Dr. Disrespect was a community manager and later a level designer for multiplayer at Sledgehammer Games, so he is not entirely out of his element here and is supported by seasoned professionals.
