After 23 Hours rolled the credits on A Plague Tale: Requiem, easily the BEST Game of the year so far for me. I can only say PLEASE PLAY THIS GAME.

The Plague Tale: Innocence was one of the finest games of 2019 and the sequel just improves on it in every single possible way imaginable. THIS is how a sequel should be made. This game made me remember why I love video games. It is absolutely incredible how a small studio like Asobo made such a brilliant game that is better than 99% of the so called AAA Games coming from AAA studios. The overall quality is right up there with Sony's first party AAA Single Player studios.

The graphics are some of the BEST I have seen this generation so far. No matter how much I tried I couldn't stop taking screenshots. AAA studios such as Ubisoft really should learn from them how to make a game look and feel beautiful and each location of the game unique in its own right. Each and every location feels like it's been handcrafted with utmost love and care.

The story is brilliant and heart wrenching. It takes its inspiration from The Last of Us and does a tremendous job of keeping the player invested throughout the journey. Each and every character is so well written and acted. No one feels like a discounted character or a filler character. The ending especially will hit you right in the feels and it is the only game apart from Red Dead Redemption 2 that made my eyes moist at the end. What a masterfully crafted poignant story of hope, despair, and above all the beautiful bond of a brother and sister. Having an elder sister myself, I know how far we would go to protect each other. It was beautiful to see it portrayed so magnificently in a video game.

The only downside of this impeccable experience is the performance. Frequent stutters and frame drops below 40-50 FPS even on a RTX 3060 Ti is not acceptable and does no justice to this otherwise fantastic experience. Another slight nitpick is that the game went on a little bit more at the end than what was required. But it is hardly a thing to complain as the game itself is so remarkable.

PLAY THIS GAME. ABSOLUTELY PLAY THIS. DO NOT MISS IT. What a tremendous journey this was.
