The ASUS ROG odyssey goes on: following the basic version and Pro, the current 6 series would be prepared to receive the ROG Phone 6D. The story began back in the year 2018, with the very first gaming smartphone. This would be the first gaming smartphone that has ever been built on the MediaTek platform, unlike the two models that were introduced in July as well as all other gaming phones. Consequently, consumers would be presented for the first time with a device for the gaming industry without the need of a Qualcomm SoC.

The ROG Phone 6D would be identical to the ROG Phone 6 series in terms of appearance and dimensions, with the same 173 x 77 x 10.3 mm body, 239-gram weight, and IPX4 certification. It would also feature the same 6.78-inch Full HD + Samsung AMOLED screen (2448 x 1080 pixels) with 395 PPI density, 165 Hz refresh rate, and 720 Hz touch sampling, and be featured in the colors of 'Phantom Black' and 'Storm White'.

10-bit with HDR10 + compatibility, optical transmission ID sensor, Gorilla Glass Virus protection, and top brightness of 1,200 nits along with a second screen, a 2-inch PMOLED color panel, would indeed be included on the back to further enhance the gameplay experience.

Technical specifications -

The MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ would replace the Snapdragon as the ROG Phone 6D's true (and likely sole) point of differentiation, with the "D" in "6D" standing for "Dimensity". It still uses the TSMC 4 nm manufacturing process and has a Mali-G710 MC10 GPU in addition to an octa-core CPU (1 x 3.20 GHz X2 + 3 x 2.85 GHz A710 + 4 x 1.80 GHz A510). Up to 18 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of non-expandable UFS 3.1 storage should be sacrificed - A set of technological specs that would enable the ROG gaming phone to achieve one of the greatest Antutu scores seen so far.

The power supply system, which includes a 6,000 mAh battery with rapid charging at 65W and reversible charging at 10W, in addition to the photographic capabilities of 50 + 13 + 5 MP f /1.9-2.2 with an ultra-wide angle, macro, and 12 MP selfie camera, wouldn't change. Every self-respecting gaming phone, including the ROG Phone 6D, would incorporate the state-of-the-art GameCool 6 dissipation technology, which can reduce CPU temperatures by as much as 10 °C by using components like boron nitride and graphite.

There will still be flexibility and adaptability with a number of accessories, like the AeroActive Cooler 6 thermoelectric fan. In regards to providing two USB Type-C ports, a stereo speaker, 5G connection, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3, the ROG Phone 6D also has pressure-sensitive rear buttons and comfy Gaming Triggers.

Price and availability -

The pricing and presentation date for the mysterious ROG Phone 6D are yet to be known.
