The overall ratings of footballers in FIFA 23 are yet to be disclosed but fans got to see it early and
only the closed beta could make this happen. Closed beta provides an early indication of what is
going to come next.

If it is all about the overall rating for Cristiano Ronaldo, then his fans will definitely get disheartened.
The Portuguese player did not have a favorable season last year which has resulted in getting a
downgrade overall.

FIFA 23's ratings are substantial as they decide how well or poorly a footballer's card will perform.
The ratings are decided as per their real-life performances. Excellence on the pitch results in a boost
in stats, whereas poor performances lead to a downgrade.

There are still some people who say that the Portuguese performed well on a personal level. But the
developers of FIFA feel that he could have performed better and this has led to a reduction in his
overall rating.

There are various factors that determine the overall rating of a footballer in FIFA 23. The main factor
among them is the footballer's actual performance in real life and how he has performed between
the two games. Other factors include footballer's age and their clubs performance.

As far as individual performance is concerned, Ronaldo has not performed badly. Though he missed
a few matches, he still managed to score 24 goals in all the tournaments. He ended up being the
club's top scorer but definitely did not perform as per the expectations of his fans.

Some felt that Ronaldo could not perform well in some of the matches for United. In fact, fans
consider his contribution to Manchester United better in the Champions League than in the Premier
League.

His performances tapered off at the end of the season after Manchester United performed
miserably. They lost all of their matches and ended up not having a UEFA Champions League spot.
Ronaldo was expected to be the ultimate inspiration but it didn't happen.

United's downfall might have made some contributions to the downgrade as the Red Devils had the
worst season in the last decade. Things got even worse when the club could not qualify for the UEFA
Champions League. The performance was really poor with Atletico Madrid knocking them out in
round 16.

Another factor behind the downfall is his age. Ronaldo shall be turning 38 this summer. Footballers
of his age do not have high ratings in FIFA 23 but the Portuguese still managed to remain in the 90s.
Most Manchester United footballers received a downgrade in FIFA 23’s closed beta. Ronaldo is one
of them although the reduction has been from 91 in FIFA 22 to 90 in FIFA 23. Some still argue on the
fact but the points are valid based on the circumstances.
