The Upcoming Kerbal Space Program 2 Faces A Delay To 2023 On PC With Its Console Version To Release Even Later

The game Kerbal Space Program 2 will miss its 2022 window. Kerbal Space Program 2 developer Intercept Games, and publisher, Private Division confirmed in a recent announcement that the game will be facing an unfortunate delay to early 2023. It will get an early 2023 initial release on the PC, followed by the launch of the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S versions. 

Kerbal Space Program 2, a space sim sequel, was initially supposed to be officially released in 2020. It got pushed to the latter half of 2021, then to 2022, and now it gets further delayed to the early half of 2023, with its console versions releasing even later. Nate Simpson, Kerbal Space Program 2 creative director, announced the delay of the game via a video that got published on Monday of this week. It was on the quarterly earnings report on Monday confirmed by Private Division's parent company, Take-Two, that the PC version of Kerbal Space Program 2 will launch by March 31, 2023. The console version will arrive within the following 12 months of the game's initial release in March. 

In the announcement video, Nate Simpson declared that they are creating a game filled with immense technological complexity. For this, they have hired a group of passionate and talented team members aiming to achieve the goal. They have also fixed a very high quality of the game. He further adds that they aim to launch a game that can function across a wide range of machines. The game's graphics must be unrivalled, and the overall universe of the game must be rich and exciting to explore. Simpson continues by stating that they have set a target of creating an original yet a breathtaking experience for the players. They have also curated a team of members from the original Kerbal Space Program game. He also expressed his gratitude for the community's support and promised excitement for the game. 

With Kerbal Space Program 2 delayed for the third time, the fans can only hope that this delay might be the last one.
