According to a recent benchmark that has surfaced on the web, it seems that Intel Arc A770 has scored similarly in OpenCL when compared to RTX 2070, and AMD RX 6600 XT. In fact, it even beats out the AMD RX 6600 XT by a noticeable margin. Whereas, it falls just a few hundred points short compared to the RTX 2070.

Now, this benchmark came from a Geekbench 5 submission, (via Benchleaks and Tom's Hardware). The Geekbench 5 submission clearly indicates that it is the Intel Arc A770. This GPU comes with 512 Compute Units, 2400 MHz maximum frequency, and 12.7GB of memory. As for the CPU, and RAM, it is Intel Core i5 9600K, and 32 GB DDR4 (dual-channel) respectively. In terms of the OpenCL score, it scored 85585 points.

To put it into reference, RTX 2070 scores 85818 which is approximately 230 points more than what Intel Arc A770 has managed to score. But, when you compare it to the AMD RX 6600 XT, the A770 comes up ahead by almost 3250 points. RX 6600 scores 82559 points in OpenCL. Now, this might sound a bit disappointing as A770 is supposed to compete with the high-end offerings from NVIDIA, and AMD such as the RTX 3080, and RX 6900 XT. But, these cards score around 180000, and 150000 respectively.

However, OpenCL does not reflect gaming performance, after all, there is almost a 20% difference between scores of RTX 3080 and RX 6900 XT. But, in terms of gaming performance, they are quite similar. Furthermore, the i5 9600K might also be acting as a bottleneck. For proper benchmark numbers, we would have to wait till Intel launches it, or at least before we get to see some more benchmarks.

Intel Arc Alchemist graphic cards are not out yet. However, there is indeed a great deal of hype around them. And, there is a good reason for the hype. It is going to be the upcoming series of performance-oriented graphics cards from Intel. And, from what we have heard so far, it should give tough competition to AMD, and NVIDIA. These Arc Alchemist GPU will also have a unique upscaling image technology titled Intel XeSS.
