David Beckham congratulates Indian gamer Angelina Pongener on her joining his organization Guild Esports

The Indian gaming community has recently got a new reason for celebration. One of India's most prominent and upcoming content creators - Angelina Pongener - for the video gaming titles of Minecraft and Valorant, has been given the most fascinating opportunity of taking her skills to an international level, as she recently joined the famous Esports organization of Guild Esports, based out of United Kingdom.

What is a more interesting thing to take note of is that the owner of Guild Esports is one of the world's most famous sports personalities, David Beckham. Beckham uploaded an Instagram story in which he welcomed Angelina Pongener to the family of Guild Esports.

India's Esports scenario and gaming industry is currently undergoing a tremendous growth spurt, and homegrown content creators are gaining recognition internationally, as well as finding new career paths to explore in this industry. Pongener is currently an upcoming Indian content creator, who is one of the first Esports personalities to join and become a member of Guild Esports. She has a subscriber base of 30K, and has recently expanded her gaming horizons by foraying into the domain of Minecraft and Valorant.

Angelina Pongener, upon the news of her inclusion into Guild Esports, mentioned the following -

"When I first heard the news, I could not believe it. I remember asking my manager if it was a prank. I did not believe it till the day I got to Delhi and was shooting for the announcement video."

Originally known as The Lords Esports, the gaming organization was established in September 2019 and launched in June 2020. David Beckham funded the organization back in 2020, when the Esports organization got rebranded as Guild Esports. The Esports organization maintains a number of active rosters across major gaming titles which include Apex Legends, FIFA, Fortnite, Rocket League and Valorant, among others.
