When Innersloth revealed its Among Us 2022 roadmap a few months ago, one of the things we learned about was a new Friend's List feature. Today, the developer revealed more details about what this will entail. A unique friend code, the ability to send and receive requests, the ability to invite friends to your own lobby, see who you recently played with, and the ability to block players will all be available. Here's another look at Among Us' Friend's List. Friends lists, a fan-requested feature, will be followed by several quality-of-life improvements for creating a new account and additional tweaks to the overall user experience.

The Friends List is on track and looks promising! We can't wait for people to finally be able to keep track of all the cool beans they kill. The Friends List will include the following features:

  • A unique friend code
  • Ability to send and receive friend requests (duh)
  • Invite friends to your own lobby
  • See who you recently played with
  • Ability to block players

Innserslot stated that in order to ensure that everything runs smoothly, we will temporarily disable the ability to link existing accounts together when the Friend's List update is released. However, it will be corrected in a future update.

Innersloth also mentioned that changes to the quality of life would be pushed into a separate update. Developers want to improve a lot of aspects of the game flow, such as Cosmicubes, chat, and other UX, but we honestly overestimated how much we could fit into the next update. In addition, a new fun section will be added to the monthly dev logs. To keep Players up to date on all the bug progress that Devs are still working on, the monthly dev logs will now include a nice section from Krys, Player Support manager.

In case you missed it, Among Us was the most-downloaded game on PS4 and PS5 in December of last year, riding a wave of positive reviews, coverage, and a low introductory price to the top of the PlayStation charts.
