Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is the major upcoming expansion for Destiny 2, and also the main expansion for this year. The release date for the upcoming expansion is February 22, 2022, which is less than a week from now. And, this is going to be the largest, and also one of the most important expansions for Destiny 2. The Witch Queen expansion will be revolving around one of the main adversaries in the entire lore of Destiny, Savathȗn, the Witch Queen. Anyway, that is something most would know by now. The official trailer for Witch Queen is finally here, and it is amazing, I personally am very much hyped about it, being a Destiny 2 player myself. Here is the trailer:

In case you are not aware, this time with Witch Queen, we would for the first time be fighting against the Hive who have harnessed the power of Light. The Light is what, the guardians have so far used to stand against all of its threats, and now, this power is in the hands of our adversaries, not to mention, it is the Hive, the faction that is the oldest in terms of chronology. Savathȗn has infuriated the Vanguard as you might be aware if you have played the last two seasons. Her infiltration’s purpose was stealing the power of Light which she was successful in, and now her Hive brood has this power as well.

Anyway, that was all of the plot, moving back to the official trailer for the expansion. We get to see Savathȗn, well duh, and also a lot of cutscenes from the new season that includes all the key figures of Vanguard such as Ikora, and Zavalla. Furthermore, we actually get to see a good amount of actual in-game footage. Our guardians fighting against the Light-powered Hive, and also get some glimpse of the new weapons that we will be getting. Not to mention, a lot of scenes from the new destination, which is going to be Savathȗn’s Throne World. This world has it all, from the foundation of Savathȗn’s epic palace, all the way to the gnarled roots in the swamp. There is a lot! Oh, and did I say that the Guardians will be getting new Void subclass powers as well?? Well, there is a lot overall to talk about.
