If you ask me what is the most awaited game this year, I would say it is Elden Ring. Elden Ring became the most wish-listed game on Steam in early January 2022, beating Dying Light 2, and even now continues to be the most wish-listed game on Steam. It is an upcoming action-adventure RPG that is being developed by FromSoftware and is being published by Bandai Namco. For those of you who are unaware, FromSoftware is also behind the development of the Dark Souls games. Elden Ring is going to be a lot like Dark Souls at the first glance, but brings a lot of new mechanics, and also has an open world.

Anyway, the system requirement for the game actually got leaked today. The Steam page for Elden Ring got updated today and actually stated what the minimum requirements will be. However, we say that it was a leak because it was taken down later. And, now if you check the Steam page for Elden Ring, it would state TBD. Anyway, once something is on the internet, it can never be truly removed. So, yes, many got a hold of the system requirements. And, here they are. P.S: These are the minimum system requirements.

Operating System: Windows 10, Windows 11
 Processor / CPU: Intel Core i5 8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X
 Memory / RAM: 12GB RAM
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB or AMD Radeon RX 580 4GB
 DirectX Version: 12
 Storage: 60GB

If you ask me, these requirements do seem fine for a modern game that looks amazing. I mean if you have looked at the gameplay previews we have had this far, you would know that Elden Ring looks beautiful. Intel Core i5 8400 and AMD Ryzen 3 3300X are like at best entry-mid range processors, and the graphic card that the minimum requirements state is the GTX 1060 3GB or a RX 580 4 GB. These were like mid-range cards back in 2017. So, it makes complete sense to me, that a game such as Elden Ring would need at least such hardware. As for memory, it requires 12 GB, however, I think most modern mid-range gaming PC do come with 16 GB of RAM. Since the requirements were taken down, we cannot say for sure if these are the official minimum system requirements for the game. But, even if they were, I would not be much surprised.
