PUBG: New State will receive its first update of February soon. The dev team has announced that they will be focusing on balancing the ‘Vehicle Meta’ in the game. This update will also focus on solving various issues revolving around fighting from inside or around the vehicles. 

Apart from traveling around the map, another main advantage of having a vehicle in PUBG: New State is that players can get into them and drive away to escape from a bad gunfight. Riding into a chaotic gunfight was also considered advantageous as it allowed players to seek cover behind the vehicle. With the gun accuracy being improved while shooting out of a vehicle, players also find it easier to get more hits on the enemy from a vehicle. 

The dev team has announced that the first upcoming February update will lower the vehicle collision damage, vehicle door health, and also the health of several vehicles. This will make a lasting impact on the gameplay as players will not be able to escape from damage so easily even when they enter a vehicle.

Another future update that has not yet been announced will bring in more changes in this ‘Vehicle Meta’. In that update, the gun accuracy will be adjusted while shooting out of a vehicle, along with enlarging the passenger hitbox by readjusting the vehicle frames. While the first update will help to improve shooting from inside the vehicle, the second update will make it easier for players to target those who are inside a vehicle. 

In games, ‘Meta’ is used to describe something which becomes advantageous for the players and helps them win more easily. The vehicle meta had brought in quite a lot of changes which made it easier for players to win games if they acquired a vehicle quickly in the game. It made things harder for players on foot to make an impact within the game, hence making it more one-sided. The upcoming February update is a way to make the more balanced and fun for players.

There is a high chance that the first update for the month might be released on 10th February. The PUBG New State Twitter handle has announced that all the game servers will be closed for maintenance on 10th February from 01:00 to 06:00 (UTC). The updates might be rolled out during this period.
