Pokemon UNITE has emerged as a popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game for mobile platforms. Since its release, it has become an instant hit among both veteran MOBA players on mobile as well as those who are just beginning to explore this genre. Pokemon UNITE brings in a lot of new elements on the table as it introduces a new map layout, fixed 10-minute match timing, and a point score system to win the game.

While it may seem more light-hearted and casual, the competitiveness level increases as you climb up in the ranked matches. At the higher ranks, players need to know about the meta Pokemons, the counter options, items that synergize with specific Pokemons, and various other such details. Today, we will discuss the meta tier-list of the Pokemons. You can use it to win matches and climb to higher ranks.

Pokemon UNITE: Meta Tier list for Season 3

This tier list is made after Patch 1.4.13 was introduced. Hence the ranking of Pokemons may vary after new patches arrive.

●      S-Tier - Must-have Pokemons: The Pokemons in this tier shine in matches because their abilities become too overpowered, especially in the late game. You will find at least one or two of these Pokemons in all your ranked matches. Under the hands of an experienced player, they can easily make the match one-sided. These Pokemons are:
○      Lucario
○      Eldegoss
○      Cinderace
○      WigglyTuff
●      A-Tier - Most-used Pokemons: The Pokemons in this tier are the most common ones found in ranked matches. They outshine other Pokemons and can be used even by beginner players. If you want to rank up quickly, use master playing these Pokemons first. These Pokemons are:
○      Pikachu
○      Mr. Mime
○      Greninja
○      Dragonite
○      Greedent
○      Venusaur
○      Charizard

●      B-Tier - Alternative Pokemons: The Pokemons in this tier are not too overpowered or bad. Players select them either to counter some specific Pokemon in the enemy team or when all of their favorite Pokemons are already picked up. They can make an impact only if you play the game properly. These Pokemons are:
○      Gardevoir
○      Tsareena
○      Blissey
○      Zeraora
○      Talonflame
○      Slowbro
○      Garchomp
○      Sylveon
○      Absol
○      Machamp
○      Blastoise
●      C-Tier - Hard to use Pokemons: These Pokemons are generally avoided in ranked matches until they counter any specific meta Pokemon. While they may be effective in some stages of the game, overall, these Pokemons can be a bit hard to play with. They need some rework to join the upper echelons of this tier-list. These Pokemons are:
○      Snorlax
○      Decidueye
○      Mamoswine
○      Alolan Ninetales
○      Gengar
●      D-Tier - Bad Pokemons for ranked: These Pokemons do not excel in any role. Moreover, their skills are not so effective in fighting against other meta Pokemons on this list. While they may help to pick up wins in lower ranks, in higher ranked matches, you will only hold back your own team if you decide to play with them. They need some crucial adjustments to become a more viable pick. These Pokemons are:
○      Trevenant
○      Cramorant
○      Crustle

This tier list covers all the thirty Pokemons that are available in Pokemon UNITE. Some Pokemon may be moved slightly up or down on the tier-list depending upon the player’s mastery in using them. If you want to climb up to higher ranks, try to get and master at least two Pokemons from each roles -Attacker, Defender, Supporter, Speedster, and All-rounder. Aim for those in the S, A, or B-tiers for the best results.
