Team Liquid has officially signed Richard "Shox" Papillon to their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squad. He will be joining the North American organization ahead of the professional season in 2022. Shox has left Team Vitality after nearly three years. Shox was a part of Vitality's entrance into the esports world as well as contributing to some of the team's best achievements as a member of the French roster. EPICENTER 2019, BLAST Premier: Fall 2020, and Intel Extreme Masters XVI were all won by Vitality Shox.

Shox was a member of G2 Esports' first French CS:GO'super team' before joining Vitality. Shox has had one of the most illustrious and successful careers in CS:GO, having competed at the top since 2008. Now, the next chapter of his illustrious career will unfold alongside his new teammates on Team Liquid.

Team Liquid has opted to revamp its CS:GO squad after a string of poor performances at the end of the year. Along with relatively 'new' members FalleN and Grim, longtime member Stewie2K is slated to leave the roster. Team Liquid has incrementally fleshed out their 2022 strategy, keeping franchise players NAF and EliGe.

The North American team recently added oSee to their roster. Following the success of Extra Salt, oSee is slated to play in Tier 1 competition in 2022, serving as the team's primary AWPer.
