The Danish csgo star has achieved his first MVP award with NIP

Since his shocking roster switch, Nicolai "Device" Reedtz, a former Astralis star, has been a steady fragger for Ninjas In Pyjamas. NIP's first notable tournament victory since IEM Oakland in 2017 was led by the Dane. Device won his first MVP award with the new team, in addition to bringing NIP back into relevancy.

Device has the record for most MVP honours in CS:GO history, with 19 total including this most recent performance. Across 15 maps, the device received a 1.35 overall rating. In a variety of categories, including KPR, Rating, ESR, AWP Kills, and overall K/D, the 26-year-old placed in the top five.

The Danish superstar is no stranger to success, having led Astralis to the longest and most successful CS:GO dynasty in history. His joining with NIP was a watershed moment for the game's esports sector. Without Device, Astralis has not been able to recapture their previous success, albeit the fragger's start on NIP was not ideal either.

Despite the individual performances of its players, Deivce and NIP as a whole struggled to find early success with their new squad. Finally, with the lone Dane leading the charge, the largely Swedish roster appears to be finding its groove.

Oleksandr 'S1mple' Kostyliev of Natus Vincere is the only player that can match Device's astounding 15-MVP achievement. The two teams are set to compete in PGL Stockholm, the first Major in CS:GO in almost two years. On LAN, NIP and Device will face off against some of the best teams in the world to see whether they can keep their winning streak going.
