Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s Final Season Is Almost Here

Halo Infinite is just like two months away from its release. However, it seems before that 343 Industries plans on releasing the final season for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and also bringing it to an end. The final season for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Season 8 is starting on October 13, 2021, and will be going on for around two months. So, just till the release of the upcoming Halo Infinite on December 3, 2021.

So, the latest, and final Season for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, will be starting this Wednesday, and go around for almost two months. 343 Industries says that with the gam’s final season they are going to shift the focus to the seasonal updates for the upcoming Halo Infinite. So, after that, there will be no new seasons. However, that does not mean it will be the end for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. As the game will still be receiving new updates, features, bug fixes, and other improvements in the near future as well.

So, what is this new and final season for Halo: The Master Chief Collection all about? Well, Season 8: Mythic, just as the name suggests, will be revolving around ancient times, and the players will be able to unlock various armor sets that will be based on the medieval age armor design. So, with this new Season 8, players would be able to make their characters look like Viking warriors and even the Spartans. However, this new season is not all about looking like medieval warriors. It will also add a new map called for Halo 3, called Icebox. And, no it is not the Icebox from Valorant. This new map is based on the Halo 2 map Turf and is a reworked version of that map. Icebox was originally designed long ago for Halo Online, however, was later canceled. But, now it is finally going to be added in Halo 3 with the upcoming season for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. 

Then there is also going to be the option of linking the Steam account with this new season. And, the players will also be getting a new custom game browser for Halo: Combat Evolved, and Halo 3. Here is the announcement trailer for Season 8: Mythic:
