If you are a fan of a fast-paced, sci-fi, action platformer game that has some very fun swordplay, then Ghostrunner is just the game for you. And, now it seems that the game has gotten even more with the addition of not one, but two new game modes, and some new difficulty options with one of these modes. With its latest update, the game has got two new game modes that will be enjoyed by both the veterans and the newcomers. And, there is lots of new DLC cosmetic, along with new difficulty options which are aimed to make the game a bit easier to play. Let’s talk about all of that.

Firstly, the new game mode is called the Wave Mode and this mode is all about surviving waves of enemies, just as the name suggests. The longer you survive, the more difficult the enemy waves get, but you also get powerful upgrades each wave, so you get more powerful the longer you survive as well. The enemies types and formations are generated for each wave, and are different. Then, talking of the difficulty, there is the new Assist mode. This assist mode comes with three toggleable options which, as the name suggests will assist you in playing the game. This includes making the ability cooldowns shorter, so you can use your abilities more frequently. Then, there is also the option of slowing down the game to make it easier. Lastly, you also have the option adding an extra life. An extra life means there is another opportunity to continue if you die somehow. And, all of these are toggleable so you can decide which ones you want to enable, and which you do not.

Then, finally, there is the new Neon Pack DLC. This is more of a cosmetic DLC and is being sold for $4.99 or £4.69. What does it provide you, well as said before, it is just about the cosmetics. It will provide you a new set of gloves, and some matching katanas to go with it as well. There will be options for Neon Night, Afterglow, Luminescence, and Glint.

Ghostrunner is very much a fun game, and those who love playing platformers that also involve lots of sci-fi elements, and swordplay, along with a first person perspective would most definitely enjoy this. Not to mention, the visuals and graphics are gorgeous!
