Activision just can't get rid of Call of Duty: Warzone's bad reputation for cheating. The complaints about it increased steadily. And now the first anti-cheat update follows after two months, including a new wave of bans. Developer Raven Software has released the first anti-cheat update for Call of Duty: Warzone in over two months. Community complaints about cheating and hacking had increased lately. That put pressure on the developers.

Warzone: Complaints about cheating increased
It's not only the community that complained more and more about the rampant cheating at Warzone this year. Even professional gamers could apparently no longer bear the state of the game and longed for appropriate measures on the part of the publisher Activision. At the beginning of the month, the streamer and content creator ZLaner wrote a courageous appeal to the developers via Twitter. "Raven Software ... can we have something like transparency, please?" He asks in the following video posted on Twitter. "One of the biggest problems with this game is the lack of anti-cheat and that it is overloaded with hackers."

.@RavenSoftware I can't aim to be the best I can be in Warzone without receiving INSANE amounts of skepticism because hacking has plagued this game since the beginning. Will an anti-cheat or consistent ban waves ever happen?

Developer Raven Software announced that the team had issued two waves of bans this week that resulted in a total of 50,000 accounts being blocked. The last anti-cheat update was made by the development team on May 14th, when a total of over 30,000 accounts were blocked within the ban wave. It remains questionable whether the new measures can put all fans of Warzone in a mild mood. After all, a number of new videos of new cheat cases have appeared again. Publisher Activision just can't get rid of Warzone's bad reputation for cheating.
