There has been a new trailer release for Ghostbusters: Afterlife and it is via this launch Sony pictures
gives hints to fans what to expect from this spooky sequel. It is a nice trailer but towards the end, there is
a major surprise in store. We will discuss it in detail, but first, we would like to say that it is a direct
sequel of the original two entries from the ‘80s. It is about two kids in small-town Oklahoma, Phoebe and
they discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters. Their grandfather was one of the original
Ghostbusters. It is the directorial work of Jason Reitman or Juno and he too carries the original film
legacy behind him. He is none other than the son of Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman.
The trailer also gave us some hints on the storyline. The family of Phoebe is now moving into a new
home and his mother is sure that the kid will get into some form of trouble. Well, she could not have
guessed it better because Phoebe finds a ghost trap hidden under the floors. It is precisely at this stage we
would like to discuss with you the surprise element of the trailer.
The surprise element has been towards the ending of the trailers and it shows the return of Dan Aykroyd
as Ray Stantz. This is the surprise and to watch it, one will have to view till the end. It is a new town for a
single mom with two kids and they slowly but steadily get to discover the secret legacy that their
grandfather had left behind. It should be a thrilling experience for fans.
It was during the trailer fans will also get to know about the rest of the team behind this spectacular
offering. We have taken mention of Jason Reitman as the director and would like to add that he is also a
co-writer just like his father in the original version. This film has got an impressive star cast and there are
some big names. There is Paul Rudd in the movie and also Finn Wolfhard. Some of the other big names
in the movie are McKenna Grace and Carrie Coon. There is also an expectation that there will be original
franchisee stars back in this version. Some of the names, which should return are Bill Murray, Ernie
Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts. The film should release in the theaters this November 11th.
There have been multiple delays due to covid but finally, it is coming.
