Breaking: PUBG is Getting an 8v8 Team Deathmatch Mode
It'll roll out with the update 6.2!
PUBG is getting a team deathmatch mode with its upcoming 6.2 patch update, which will arrive as a part of the arcade games focused on the new branch. This time the Team Deathmatch will field a team of eight players against one another. The seven locations from PUBG will be used as different maps for the game mode.
The mode will be only available in a first-person view and no 3rd-person view will be available. No friendly fire will be available in the game either.  There are eight spawn kits to choose from and health regeneration will depend on your Boost Gauge: kills and assists fill it, and it'll gradually restore your health after not taking damage for five seconds. Matches will last for 10 minutes. The first team to kill 50 enemies will win the match.
Of course, this will not turn PUBG into Call of Duty.  "For fans who prefer Battle Royale, not to worry," the announcement post reads. "Our core focus will always be to bring you the most realistic and intense Battle Royale experience out there."
The new Arcade Branch will keep growing and get new game modes, the TDM will get new maps and tweaks, and expect "new and familiar game modes" to be added in future.
