Members of the renowned Astralis women’s team, alongside prominent CS2 professionals, have penned an open letter directed at Valve, the developer behind Counter-Strike 2. They have demanded the integration of default female skins into the game, a call echoing across the gaming community.

Expressing sentiments of inequity and exclusion, the Astralis female CS2 team articulated their stance on the absence of default female agents within the game. Describing it as "unfair" and "unwelcoming," they shed light on the persistent sexism encountered by female players in the gaming realm—a narrative that resonates with many.

This public plea follows a prior private message dispatched to Valve in January, where the players advocated for gender parity in character representation. Their proposal? To introduce an equal number of default free female agents alongside their male counterparts. The rationale behind this proposal is simple: to foster a more inclusive environment and encourage greater participation from female gamers.

While the introduction of female skins during Operation Shattered Web in 2019 marked a step forward, the cessation of the operation has left players reliant on paid agent skins or default male models. This disparity underscores the urgency for Valve to address the issue and rectify the imbalance.
