FC Barcelona Enters Valorant Esports with a Team in VCL Spain

FC Barcelona, a global football club, is venturing into the esports realm with its Valorant team, aptly named Barca eSports. The much-anticipated move has culminated in the official announcement that Barca eSports, alongside FIVE Media Clan, has received a direct invite to participate in the Valorant Challengers 2024 Spain: Rising Split 1. 

FC Barcelona Enters VCL Spain Under the Name Barca eSports 

Scheduled to kick off on 15th January 2024, this marks the initiation of FC Barcelona's foray into competitive Valorant within the VCL 2024 Spain league, organized by Liga de Videojuegos Profesional (LVP). The inaugural match will witness Barca eSports facing off against ZETA, promising an enthralling start to their esports journey. 

This isn't Barca eSports' maiden venture into esports; it has previously made waves in the League of Legends Super League, also under the LVP umbrella. Additionally, the club previously operated a Rocket League team from 2019 to 2021, showcasing a diverse engagement in the esports landscape. 

The Valorant roster for Barca eSports remains shrouded in mystery, heightening anticipation among fans. While details are scarce, an official announcement is expected post the holiday season in early 2024, aligning with the commencement of VCL 2024 Spain: Rising Split 1.

Interestingly, Barca eSports joins the ranks of Case Esports and AYM Esports, both affiliated with football figures—Casemiro and Aymeric Laporte, respectively. These three teams inject a compelling fusion of traditional sports and esports into the VCL 2024 Spain league, capturing the attention of a broad audience.
