Revenant Esports Dominates Velocity Gaming In VCL SA Split 2 Match

In a highly anticipated faceoff between Velocity Gaming and Revenant Esports in Valorant Challengers League (VCL) 2023: South Asia (SA) Split 2, Revenant Esports emerged victorious with a dominating 2-0 scoreline. This was the first time the two teams had played each other since Tejas "rite2ace" Sawant left Velocity Gaming and joined Revenant Esports.

In the map veto, Velocity Gaming banned Fracture and Revenant Esports banned Pearl. Following this, the team picked Split and Bind, respectively. The teams banned Lotus and Ascent, and Haven was left as the decider map.

Map No. 1: Split

In the first half of Split, Revenant Esports dominated right from the beginning. It won the pistol round, the following anti-eco round, and the following two rounds, leading to a score of RNT 4-0 VLT. Velocity Gaming finally won the fifth round but it was a brief comeback as Revenant Esports closed out the half at RNT 9-3 VLT. In the second half, Velocity Gaming started off strong by winning the pistol round and the following anti-eco round, but lost the bonus round. Following this, Revenant Esports put forth an incredible performance and won the map without losing a single round, closing the map with a RNT 13-5 VLT score.

Map No. 2: Split

Revenant Esports started strong in the first half of Bind, winning the pistol round, the anti-eco round, and two more rounds following that. Velocity Gaming won the fifth round, leading to a scoreline of 4-1. After winning rounds back and forth, Velocity Gaming closed the half at VLT 7-5 RNT. In the second half, Revenant Esports won four rounds consecutively, leading to a scoreline of RNT 9-7 VLT. Following this, Revenant Esports only lost two rounds, and closed the map with RNT 13-9 VLT Score.

Paradox was the most valuable player (MVP) of the series for Revenant Esports, almost hitting half a century of kills in just two maps. His performance helped his team dominate Velocity Gaming throughout the match.
