In a meeting recently held by the Ministry of Telecommunication with representatives from the security sector and the Sharia law enforcement administration in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, it was decided to ban the popular battle royale game PUBG Mobile within the next three months, according to reports by Afgan Media Khama. According to sources, the Taliban believe that violent video games encourage violence and have a negative impact on the nation's youth. 

Countries like Bangladesh and India have previously imposed restrictions on PUBG Mobile. 

A multiplayer battle royale game that is available on mobile devices is called PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG). It is very well-liked and has received more than 1 billion downloads worldwide. In spite of being prohibited in many places, it is one of the most popular mobile game titles. Several South Asian nations, notably Bangladesh and India, have previously imposed restrictions on this game. Afghanistan will now be the newest country to join the list of nations that forbid this well-known BR title. Taliban want to prohibit PUBG Mobile in Afghanistan within the next three months because to it inciting violence. 

The Afghan Ministry of Telecommunication has informed all national telecoms and internet service providers of the decision to ensure that it is carried out as planned and within the allotted time frame. Other countries that have banned the PUBG mobile include Iran, Nepal, Jordan, Iraq, Israel, and others in addition to India and Bangladesh. On the other hand, India had outlawed the game for reasons related to data security and privacy. The game was accused of gathering and disseminating private user information. 

Due to its allegedly "violent" gameplay, battle royale games have frequently been singled out for criticism. They have also been charged with encouraging juvenile addiction, particularly in children. In most instances, lawmakers decide to outlaw the game worldwide rather than implementing preventative efforts to limit addiction in young people who play it.
